If anything this holiday has made me become more...
My relatives won’t stop telling me I’m too skinny. They keep pinching my arms and trying to wiggle them. One night my grandmother tried feeding me an entire roasted pig. My stomach was up to full capacity and I swear I could feel the food piling up to my throat. I’ve also been racking in tons of comments on how I wear too much black, or my eyeliner is too heavy, or my heels are...

A thought I've been throwing around for a while.
I’m already planning on spending the entire summer in the states to do summer classes and just be in Chicago, but I wonder how thrilled my parents would be if I suggested my only spending Christmas of next year in the Philippines and flying back to Chicago for New Year’s.

I really would love to catch up with you,...
But I’ve gotten so used to you not being around that it’s a little overwhelming right now. I promise I’ll be back soon. Trust me, a relationship like ours isn’t ever gonna really end.

Wandered around with the family today.
Bought some shit and ate way too much. Leaving for dinner with relatives soon, then possibly a karaoke or comedy bar after. As much as I’d hate living in the Philippines, I’m definitely gonna miss this sort of thing.

But holy FUCK I miss cold weather. Would happily trade tank tops and shorts for winter jackets and stuffy layers if it meant getting me out of this suffocating humidity. FUCK.

therealkatiewest: togetherforjacksoncountykids: “It’s Okay to be Neither,” By Melissa Bollow Tempel Alie arrived at our 1st-grade classroom wearing a sweatshirt with a hood. I asked her to take off her hood, and she refused. I thought she was just being difficult and ignored it. After breakfast we got in line for art, and I noticed that she still had not removed her hood. When we arrived at...

Update on the aunt Facebook development:
In case you missed it, my aunt currently has this photo set as her profile picture. I passively-aggressively replied by commenting on it with this link. I decided to look at the offending photo again, because I hadn’t noticed any evidence of her reaction… She deleted my comment.
